I confess I'm really struggling with how to contextualize this whole left-pad thing. On one hand, I feel for the many, many people who were just trying to get their jobs done when everything broke . On the other hand, as I've said since the beginning, the Node ecosystem is completely, absolutely, bugfuck insane . I mean, the left-pad implementation in question isn't even the optimal solution in javascript! We should all just give up and switch to left-padding as a service .
